Character name: Henrietta
Character age: From the Victorian era, so about 150
Character race: Vampire
Character appearance:
Character attitude: Henrietta is very shy and is not quick to trust. As a human she was outgoing and outspoken, but after her turning she became reserved and careful. Whenver she takes human blood, she always asks for forgivness, as she is a firm believer in God and Jesus. She does not know, yet, that a vampire can survive on animal blood. If you do happen to earn her trust, she again becames like the human she once was.
Other Info: Henrietta can hypnotize people and vampires by staring into their eyes and impressing her thoughts on them. She rarely uses this "gift".
Character history: When she was 20, Henrietta became a vampire. Before that time she had been a hobbyist writer, making a small and rather poor living, her home a little apartment situated above a cobblers store. Her parents lived on an estate on the country, but Henrietta did not want to stay there the rest of her life and so set out on her own to become the unknown author. One night, as she was writing a short poem that had been dancing around in her mind, a man walked into her room. She was confused, because the door was locked, and also because she did not know him. He was tall, dark haired, and pale. He was the most striking and handomse man Henrietta had ever seen. He closed his eyes, as if savoring something most delicious. Henrietta was frozen with both fear and admiration. Opening his onyx eyes, he strode toward her with a terrible intent. "I must have you." He said, before taking her in his arms and biting into her neck. Three days later she awoke from unending pain in the woods, dirty and confused. There was no sign of the man who had nearly killed her. She wandered for some time, her throat still burning, until she came upon a single road with a man walking upon it. He hailed her, asking if she needed help. To her horror, Henrietta was upon the man before he could lift a foot, his blood cooling her throat. She cried out in horror and shame as his corpse fell from her bloody hands. From then on she was alone. Henrietta is always carefull around humans. She has reached the point, after so many years, where their scent is not unbearable. Whenever she drinks, she tries to take the life of one who has done wrong. Throughout her vampiric life, she has joined small nomaditc covens, but they never had the same beliefs as she, and usually laughed at her guilt for humans. As such, Henrietta has nearly abondoned all hope of ever finding a kindred spirit.
RPG sample: Dressed in a ratty cloak, Henrietta strode into the tavern. The man behind the counter stared at her, his cleaning of a mug halted mid swap. Although dirty and ragged, Henrietta was still breathtakingly beautiful. "What would you like?" He asked, his voice hoarse. Henrietta avoided his eyes. Her thirst was starting to return. "Water." she said, voice flat. Still the man found it entrancing. He bustled around, and then set a glass of clear water before her. Henrietta took it with greedy hands, gulping at the liquid that before had always been so refreshin. It tasted like dry ash. Choking, Henrietta grabbed her throat and stumbled away from the counter. The man asked frantically if she was allright. Ignoring him, she dashed out of the tavern, across the muddy road, and into the woods. Henrietta would hate herself for killing that man, she had to run away and keep running.
