Jordan ran. The trees blured by. She wasn't paying attention. There was a freakin Vampire chasing her for goodness sake. She tripped over a rut. He was playing with her.
"I don't want to hurt you!" he called.
She snorted. The pain of the action was immense. She estimated three broken ribs, a colapsed lung, and a concussion. She had fallen off a small cliff. About a twenty foot drop. The reason the trees were blurred was because of the tears of pain. She couldn't get up. She had fallen, and she couldn't get up. And there was a vampire chasing her. Life couldn't get any better.
"Let me help you." his voice was right behind her.
"No!" she gasped trying to crawl.
He was suddenly in front of her. His golden hair matched his eyes.
"Please at least let me look." he propped her up against a tree. He prodded her ribs and she screamed.
"The lung is punctured." he murmured.
Spots swam in front of Jordan's eyes.
